G2E Asia in full swing at Venetian Macao
Updated:2024-06-20 14:57 Views:154Tuesday marks the opening day of G2E Asia 2017 at the Venetian Macao and all indications are for another record breaking year in attendance and participation. The show is jointly organized and presented by Reed Expositions and the American Gaming Association.
More than 12,000 people are expected to attend the show this year with about one-third of the 180 exhibitors presenting for the first time. More than 70 companies will demonstrate online gaming solutions with nearly half of them new to the trade show.
At 09:30 Opening remarks will be presented at 09:30 by Francis Lui, Deputy Chairman of the Galaxy Entertainment Group. The exhibition doors are to open at 11 a.m. with nearly 130,000 sq ft in use.
“Our goal is to create the most comprehensive experience possible with conference and in-show features that complement the expo, which truly serves as the marketplace for the Asian gaming industry. With interactive educational and networking opportunities, attendees will receive added benefits and opportunities to learn from colleagues and experts within the fast-growing Asian gaming industry,” said Josephine Lee, chief operating officer of Reed Exhibitions Greater China.
Each of the three days will feature working lunches, opportunities for networking during cocktail hours at the G2E Asia Bar as well as after hours networking events with entertainment.
The Parts & Components Pavilion will see over 100 R&D engineers, buyers, tech designers, and product designers in participation.
PricewaterhouseCoopers will give a preview of their whitepaper focused on integrated resort development in Japan.
On Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. a new Executive Roundtable will be lead by the American Gaming Association focusing on content and amenities for mass market gaming. Notable participants in the discussion will be; Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd; Mitchell Bowen, managing director of Aristocrat Technologies, Australia, New Zealand and International; Derik Mooberry, Group Chief Executive of Gaming for Scientific Games, and Walter Bugno, Chief Executive Officer of IGT International.
At 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday Mr. Paulo Martins Chan, Director of Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau will deliver his keynote address.
The main takeaways for Thursday are the IAGA Best Practices Forum and the iGaming Summit in partnership with Asia Gaming Brief. Online casino trends in the Asian market and the rise of eGaming in Asia will be highlighted.
